Job Summary: 
Responsible for overseeing and ensuring the timely processing of all commission payments /dividend/bonus transactions (as applicable). Oversee the day to day activities of the team and ensuring all the functions are carried out on behalf of customers in accordance with department/company procedures and regulatory requirements, and in doing so ensure that the standard terms of service are met. Perform any other duty as may be delegated from time to time.

Job Description: 

Ensure the accurate and timely processing of distributor commission and Non Commercial Transactions (as applicable) and generation of commission payments

Ensure that, where applicable, requests for funding arrangements are sent to the relevant business units on time.Ensure generation of all department specific reports, which are to be sent to other business partners and related external agencies.

Ensure timely filing of necessary forms/reports of regulatory nature, as and when assigned.Manage department consistency by timely escalation of unresolved issues.Actively manage and reduce the error rate for transactions processed on a daily basis.

Review and where necessary enhance the operational processes to increase efficiency of the transaction processing units. Work closely with the auditors/teams to institute appropriate process controls so as to ensure transactions are processed within prescribed norms. 

Also responsible for team member development, which includes: coaching and counseling, mentoring, documentation and providing performance feedback. Focus on employee development including career planning, succession planning, training, personal development and empowerment

Manage the daily operating metrics of the Operations unit including cost per account, productivity, headcount, error rates and other key metrics of the Operations Unit. Decide and agree ongoing performance targets and manage the operations to meet them. 

Responsible for completion of special projects as may be assigned
Ensure all project activities are completed on time.Preparation and generation of any specific project related reports that need to be sent to the management

Ensure consistent and timely communication of key information to the team.Ensure periodic team meetings are held and active participation of members in team meetings.

Ensure the systems requirements of the team are a captured, documented and communicated to the systems support teams.Conduct post implementation testing.Report an defects found.Follow up for resolution.

UG: Any Graduate - Any Specialization

PG: Any Postgraduate - Any Specialization

Doctorate: Doctorate Not Required

  • REQUIRED EDUCATION & TRAINING:

    Proficient in English and numerate. Graduate with a Commerce / Accounting / Finance background preferred.

    EXPERIENCE:

    Required:

    Knowledge of the Indian mutual funds industry and regulations involved therein (SEBI and AMFI guidelines)
    Strong attention to detail and quality.Model good work habits and appropriate use of procedures and controls

    Problem solving and analytical skills.

    Reasonable PC knowledge including use of Microsoft Office products, to include Excel and Word skills

    Administrative and time management skills

    Ability to interact with team members

    Preferred:

    Previous experience in commission processing / dealer processing an advantage. Accounting/finance exposure would be an added advantage.
